Refund & Returns Policy — Milpa

Perishable food products — no returns
All Milpa products are handcrafted, perishable food items. Due to the nature of fresh food, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered or collected.
We do not offer refunds based on personal taste preference. We encourage customers to start with our 4-piece format to discover the product before committing to larger formats.
Damaged or incorrect orders
We take quality seriously. If your order arrives damaged, in poor condition, or incorrect, please contact us within the product's shelf life (maximum 4 days after delivery if refrigerated immediately upon receipt).
To be eligible for a refund you must:
- Contact us at milpa.nl.business@gmail.com
- Provide a clear photo of the product showing the issue
- Include your order number
If your claim is approved, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method within 5 business days.
Cold chain responsibility
Our products are vacuum-sealed and shipped fresh. We ship Monday and Tuesday only to ensure next-day delivery. Upon receiving your order, refrigerate immediately (max 7°C). Milpa is not responsible for quality issues resulting from failure to refrigerate the product upon receipt.
Local pickup
Orders collected in Amstelveen must be inspected at the moment of pickup. Quality claims for pickup orders must be reported within the product's shelf life with photographic evidence.
European Union — 14 day cooling off period
Under EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of purchase. However, this right does not apply to perishable goods. As fresh food products, Milpa tlacoyos are exempt from the standard EU cooling off period under Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(d).
